Is there anything that you hate more than burpees and “dieting?” They are both high on the list of things that I dislike the most. So why did I create something out two terrible things? Two negatives make a positive? Not really… However, I’m excited about the Burpee “Diet” because it’s designed so that you’ll never have to do either ever again!!! Unless if you miss the Spartan Race spear throw! lol Never skip your burpees! There is a special place in Hell for people who skip their burpees in a competitive wave!
So how does it work? How do I eliminate these terrible things from my life???
First, let’s eliminate the idea of dieting…. Eat less, lose weight? MYTH!!! You may actually need to eat more to get the body of your dreams! The key is to eat more of the right stuff! Eating the right foods in the right portions is the best way to get to your goals! “Abs are made in the kitchen!” Check out our Portion Fix Nutrition and Exercise plan if you need help/structure to make this happen!
Ok. back to burpees!
There are two versions of the “diet” based on whether you have a protein shaker cup half empty or half full view of the world.
The Reward Camp
This version is for people who motivated to change by celebrating the desired behavior. Every morning you start with a 30 burpee quota. If you make it through the day without indulging in any treats that don’t help your goals then you can go to bed without doing the burpees! Very similar to your reward for conquering an obstacle at a Spartan Race your reward for clean eating is 0 burpees!
The Punishment Camp
This is for the people who have to be beat up a few times to learn or break a habit. There is no burpee quota for the day. However, if you decide to indulge in something that doesn’t help your goals then you must complete a 30 burpee penalty for stuffing your face with that donut or deep dish pizza! Eat clean and stay burpee free! It’s that simple!
I can’t promise that you’ll get into perfect shape, but I’m pretty confident that either your nutrition will improve significantly or you’ll get REALLY good at burpees!!
